The Bnei Darom Project has as one of its objectives the facilitation of the absorption process and integration of new Olim. In order to do so it has created a safety net of Latin American Communities al around Israel such as Modi'in, Givat Shmuel, Ra'anana and more.
The use of classes for men, women and couples, activities for children trips and shabatonim facilitate our objective by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all ages and social groups.
In 2015, Modi'in closely followed Ra'anana and Jerusalem as the city with the 3rd largest amount of new Brazilian immigrants. However, Modi'in is the only city that does not have a Merkaz Klita (absorption center) which makes its placing even more significant. This is the beginning of a tendency of immigration not connected to absorption centers but instead to fixed communities already rooted in Israeli society.
